Course Structure

If you would like to become an ACCA member, a candidate would need to go through some steps. There is a total of 13 exams that the students would need to go through. Not only that, but the candidate would also need to have 3 years of experience in a relevant role. Knowledge Level consists of 3 exams – Accountant in Business, Management Accounting and Financial Accounting. Students get awarded ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business after going through these exams. Skills Level consists of 6 exams – Corporate and Business Law, Performance Management, Taxation, Financial Reporting, Audit and Assurance, and Financial Management. When the students clear these, they get awarded the Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business. There is a Professional Level – 2 compulsory in Essentials and 2 out of 4 from available options. These are the ACCA levels.

Requirements for ACCA

The minimum requirement for the ACCA exam is to have passed the 12th board by passing 5 subjects. English and Mathematics and compulsory. There needs to be more than 65% scored in at least 2 subjects and more than 50% on the others. However, if you have higher qualifications, you would be able to get exemptions. While a commerce graduate needs to give only 9 exams, a CA candidate needs to sit for only 4. It is to be noted that if a student scores above 40 in relevant subjects in the CA exam, the candidates are eligible to get more exemptions. Every paper would have a maximum score of 100 marks.
